Brittney Dunkins


Brittney, a writer/editor for George Washington Today, joined the team in March 2013. Her beat includes the School of Business, the Division of Student Affairs, the Division of Operations and the Mount Vernon Campus. She also writes about food, sustainability, student life, facilities, campus development and cross-disciplinary learning.

Before joining GW Today, Brittney managed photographers and interns and wrote about arts, entertainment, food, fashion and all things D.C. as an assistant editor at Washington Life magazine. After graduating from the American University with a B.A. in print journalism and a minor in literature, she worked as an editorial assistant for DC magazine, a Modern Luxury publication. Brittney is working toward an M.B.A. at the George Washington University with a concentration in brand strategy and marketing communications. She enjoys rooting for Philadelphia sports teams (she’s a native of South Jersey), reading Wired and completing casual DIY projects.
