Elana Meyers Taylor, B.S. ’06, M.T.A. ’11, Hon. ’18, was appointed to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition.
Meyers Taylor, an inaugural member of the GW Monumental Alumni who was the Commencement speaker in 2022, joins the council, which, according to whitehouse.gov, “aims to promote healthy, accessible eating and physical activity for all Americans, regardless of background or ability.”
Renowned chef and humanitarian Jose Andrés, who was the Commencement speaker in 2014 and teaches a class, “World on a Plate,” at GW, was appointed as co-chair to the council last year.
