Jay Pharoah, the actor and comedian best known for his “Saturday Night Live” celebrity impressions, including of former President Barack Obama, will bring his stand-up act to Lisner Auditorium May 5.
The show is open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets go on sale beginning at noon Tuesday and can be purchased online or through the Lisner box office, either by phone or in person. All tickets are general admission and $33.
The university is also offering a limited number of discounted tickets for $28 for students. The tickets are available only when buying in person at Lisner’s box office and presenting a valid GWorld card. Discounted tickets are also on sale beginning at noon Tuesday and will only be offered for a limited time.
Mr. Pharoah spent six seasons as a “Saturday Night Live” cast member, performing celebrity impressions and the recurring character of school principal Daniel Frye. He also has released a series of parody music videos and created the viral rap video “Go to College” with former First Lady Michelle Obama to promote higher education.
This is the third show to be recently announced at Lisner. Country singer Brett Young performed this month and hip hop sensation D.R.A.M. will appear April 23. Tickets for D.R.A.M. are still available.
