Rising hip hop sensation and Virginia’s own D.R.A.M. will serve up his funky, feel-good party jams, including “Broccoli,” “Cha Cha” and “Cute,” at George Washington University’s Lisner Auditorium on April 23.
The event is all ages and open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Tickets go on sale beginning at noon March 2 and can be purchased online or through the Lisner box office, either by phone or in person. All tickets are general admission and $30.
The university is also offering a limited number of discounted tickets for $25 for students. The tickets are available only when buying in person at Lisner’s box office and presenting a valid GWorld card. Discounted tickets are also on sale beginning at noon March 2 and only will be offered for a limited time.
In January, D.R.A.M. was in D.C. to perform a sold-out show at U Street Music Hall. The Washington Post wrote that it was an “aptly jubilant occasion,” hailing the artist for his “undeniable talent” and praising him not only for his vocals but also for the fact that he “intentionally chooses happiness” in his work.
The show is co-presented with D.C. radio station WPGC.
The university announced last month that country music singer and songwriter Brett Young would also perform at Lisner on March 8. Tickets, which are $26, are still available.
