Lisa Leibow, an assistant professor and associate program director for the undergraduate Paralegal Studies program, was sworn in as a member of the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court. She is now able to file motions, submit amicus briefs and present oral arguments before the highest court in the United States.
Leibow was admitted in as a member of the Bar on March 21 in open court before all nine U.S. Supreme Court Justices.
“I soaked in every detail of the day,” Leibow told the College of Professional Studies Dean's Newsletter, “the marble halls; white busts and grand portraits of past Supreme Court Justices; the quills marking each counsel’s place; my seat in the front row; and the thrill of Chief Justice Roberts meeting my eye as he granted the Motion to Admit.”
