Memorial Service to Celebrate Public Health Pioneer Fitzhugh Mullan

The service will be held Dec. 21 in GW’s Lisner Auditorium.

Dr. MullanA memorial service to celebrate the life of Fitzhugh Mullan, a George Washington University professor revered for his lifelong commitment to social justice, health equity and health workforce policies, will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 21 on the Foggy Bottom campus. 

The service is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in GW’s Lisner Auditorium, with seating beginning at 2:30 p.m. A reception will follow at the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health, 950 New Hampshire Ave, NW.

Dr. Mullan, a professor of health policy and management and pediatrics at the Milken Institute SPH and the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences, died on Nov. 29. He was 77. He leaves behind a distinguished legacy as a pediatrician and pioneer of public health.
