Ling Hao, a professor in the Chemistry Department, received a $100,000 Cottrell Scholar Award from the Research Corporation for Science Advancement for her research proposal “Capturing Molecular Communications Using Mass Spectrometry and Enhancing Science Communication in Chemistry Education.”
Cottrell Scholars—awarded to early career researchers—are chosen through a rigorous peer-review process of applications from public and private research universities and primarily undergraduate institutions across the United States and Canada, according to the Research Corporation for Science website. The award proposals incorporate both research and science education.
