Meg Holland, M.A. ’16, Ed.D. ’22, and the assistant dean for administration and operations at the Graduate School of Education and Human Development, has received the Leo and Margaret Goodman-Malamuth Award from the American Association of University Administrators (AAUA) for her dissertation, "Women Leading Higher Education: Disrupting Patriarchal Mediation in Higher Education Spaces."

The award is made annually after a national search to the author of an outstanding doctoral dissertation in the field of higher education or higher education administration.

According to Sharon Dannels, who chaired Holland's dissertation committee, "The beauty of the document is that it is a reflection of her learning... the design and execution of her study is exemplary. In this document you see the emergence of a researcher."
