Damien O'Halloran, chair of the Biology Department and associate professor of biology, was among the recipients of a $444,125 National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases award to explore pyrantel resistance in hookworm nematodes.
In O’Halloran’s lab, researchers use the invertebrate nematode, Caenorhabditis elegans, to understand how animals detect and encode sensory information.
