Yvonne Orji, B.A. ’05, M.P.H ’08, has signed a two-year, first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television, according to deadline.com The deal calls for Orji to develop scripted drama and comedy series for cable and streaming platforms.
Orji is an Emmy-nominated actress, comedian, writer, author and producer.
“Yvonne is incredibly talented, vibrant, and authentic, and we are thrilled to announce this new deal with her,” Lauren Stein, executive vice president of drama development at Sony Pictures Television told deadline.com. “She has this gravitational pull and unique perspective, and we are excited to start exploring the types of stories she wants to tell.”
