University Mourns Death of Carlos Pacanins

Fourth-year political science major fatally struck by a car on Friday night.

The George Washington University announced the death of fourth-year student Carlos Pacanins, who passed away from injuries sustained after being hit by a car Friday night in College Park, Md.

“The family of fourth-year student Carlos Pacanins has informed the George Washington University that Carlos has died as a result of injuries sustained after being hit by a car in College Park, Md. on Friday, April 11. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time,” the university said in a statement released Sunday.

A service to honor Mr. Pacanins will be held April 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, located at 6900 River Road, Bethesda, Md.
