get appGeorge Washington University community members have a convenient and secure way to manage their GWorld cards to pay for food, parking and other services.

“For students, faculty and staff who use their card for dining, vending or parking, it’s a great way to add money and manage your GWorld all from your mobile phone in a matter of seconds,” said Steve Nichols, director of the GWorld Card Program.

The GET app, which is free and available for both Apple and Android devices, allows users to check their account balances and spending history, make immediate or scheduled deposits, place pickup or delivery orders for food and suspend or reactivate a lost card. GWorld also gives users access to special discounts and deals, including the Meal Deals program and other offers.

The GET app is especially convenient if you go to pay for something and realize you don’t have enough money on your GWorld card. “We’ve heard from GET users who realized they had insufficient funds as they pulled up to the parking lot gate and were able to use the GET app to quickly replenish funds so they could pay for parking,” Mr. Nichols said.

GET will continue to be updated, too. Over the next year, it will be enhanced with features such as low balance auto deposits. And remember: GWorld funds don’t expire and rollover from year to year, so they can be used anytime at the more than 90 dining partners, 15 retail and 35 vending locations across GW’s campuses.
