Healthy habits got a motivational makeover at the George Washington University this semester, thanks to a brainstorm from George Washington University President Steven Knapp. Two stairwells in the Marvin Center have been painted, re-carpeted , and decorated with large decals featuring portraits of and quotations from prominent alumni across the disciplines, including Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, BA ’51, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, MBA ’71, actress Kerry Washington, BA ’98, and others. The project, which was managed by GW Events and Venues in collaboration with Marketing and Creative Services, is part of the Healthy GW Initiative to entice students, faculty, staff and visitors away from elevators.
