George Washington University students flocked to the University Student Center (USC) Monday night for a break in their final exam preparations and projects as they reconnected with friends, enjoyed some food and participated in a variety of engaging activities at Midnight Breakfast, an annual GW tradition put on by the Division of Student Affairs (DSA).
"Sweet Dreams" was this year's theme, as USC transformed into a "candy dreamland" thanks to the help of a variety of local D.C. vendors such as Yerba Mate, Rocket Fizz candy, Dominos Pizza, fudge from Kilwin's, Insomnia Cookies and more. Students also had a chance to build community through an array of events such as candy karaoke, blacklight arcade, movies and crafts. GW Program Board teamed with DSA to provide students the opportunity to build their own plush hippo study buddy to keep them company during their exam preparations. GW Esports also had a video game station for students.
President Mark Wrighton also stopped by with his dog, Spike.
