The annual Proud to Be GW festival took place on June 7 and June 8 on the Foggy Bottom and Virginia Science and Technolgy (VSTC) campuses. University employees enjoyed free food, music, games, artists' caricatures, GW swag and other giveaways.
Human Resource Management and Development hosted the two-day event. The Foggy Bottom celebration was in University Yard, and the VSTC celebration was held indoors on the first floor of Enterprise Hall, where the event was moved out of caution because of poor air-quality from Canadian wildfires.
Proud to be GW is held every year to recognize the contributions of GW staff and faculty and to express gratitude for their service to the university.
