Members of the George Washington University gathered around various spots on campus Monday to watch the historic solar eclipse as the partial moon covering of the sun in the Washington, D.C., area peaked at roughly 3:20 p.m. Various watch parties took place at the City View Room, Kogan Plaza, the University Student Center Terrace, the 10th floor of Western Market and Smith Hall, among other places. GW Today photographers William Atkins, Jordan Tovin and Lily Speredelozzi captured the history in the making at GW.
