George Washington University's first generation 2024 graduates gathered Friday in the grand ballroom of the University Student Center to be honored with remarks and to individually receive their first-generation cord/stole to wear at Commencement. The group The event, to which all first-generation students were invited, provided time for the students to mix, mingle, eat and enjoy the community before the formal program to honor members of the Class of 2024.
