Almost 50 former George Washington University men's basketball players who had played for the Colonials during a span seven decades long participated in a "family reunion" the past weekend that included a social night on Friday followed by an alumni basketball game on Saturday at the Charles E. Smith Center. In the game, Carl Elliott's Blue Team won a double-overtime thriller. The 2007 graduate took home MVP honors. Bob Tallent, class of 1969, and Tyler Cavanaugh, class of 2016, served as coaches for the game in which 24 former student-athletes played and the current team refereed. After the game, men's basketball Coach Maurice Joseph noted that he's already looking forward to making the reunion even bigger and better next year.
