Mia Lakstigala (l), Nya Robertson (c) and Mayowa Taiwo earned postseason honors from the Atlantic 10 Conference.

George Washington University women's basketball first-year player Nya Robertson highlighted a quartet of recognitions in the Atlantic 10 postseason awards announced Tuesday, earning the conference's Sixth Woman of the Year Award.

Robertson was also named to the league's All-Rookie team and was joined in postseason accolades by All-Defensive selection Mayowa Taiwo and All-Academic honoree Mia Lakstigala.

Robertson becomes the seventh member of the Buff & Blue to be named Sixth Woman of the Year and the first since 2018. She's also the third women’s basketball player to earn a spot on the All-Rookie team in the past four seasons.

The first-year player from Fort Worth, Texas, came off the bench in 25 of 26 games this season, yet still led the Buff & Blue in scoring at 14.5 points per game. She is currently 10th nationally among first-year players in scoring, including tops in the A-10, and eighth overall in points per game average in the league. Robertson also hit 64 3-pointers, fourth-best in the A-10 and second-most among first-year players in Division I. The 64 three-point shots are also the 10th-most in a single season in GW history.

Taiwo, a redshirt senior, was selected to the All-Defensive team for the first time in her career, continuing a strong tradition of defenders donning the Buff & Blue. GW has had nine All-Defensive team honorees in the past 10 years.

Taiwo was the lone member of this year's team to play and start in all 29 games. She averaged 8.3 points per game and 9.7 rebounds per game while also tallying 60 steals, more than two per game. She was sixth in the A-10 in steals and third in rebounding while grabbing 282 boards, currently the 10th most in a single season in GW history.

Lakstigala made an immediate impression in her graduate year with the Buff & Blue, finishing second on the team with 13.8 points per game while shooting a team-high 38.5% from three-point range, fourth-best in the A-10. She currently holds a 3.94 cumulative GPA while pursuing her master's degree in interdisciplinary business studies.
