Instead of coming to the Academic Center across from Gelman Library, visitors to campus will be directed to a new space on the ground floor of the Marvin Center.
This relocation will open up space for a 70-seat classroom in the Academic Center and offer an even more student-friendly experience for visitors, say university administrators.
“This location is ideal, because it will provide a student-centric visit experience and will give the Office of Admissions the opportunity to update and enhance a visit program for which it has continually received high marks,” said Kathryn Napper, associate vice president and dean of undergraduate admissions, in an e-mail.
Construction has already begun, and both the Academic and Visitor Centers are expected to be fully operational by the fall.
