GW Celebrates the Year of the Monkey

The George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum on Feb. 6 celebrated the Chinese New Year and the year of the Monkey. Those in attendance enjoyed a fashion show of traditional Chinese dress, watched a calligraphy demonstration and created personal dragon puppets. The Chinese New Year began Feb. 8. It heralded the start of China's most important traditional festival.
