The George Washington University today issued a request for proposals for brokers interested in representing the university as it pursues a possible sale of the Hall on Virginia Avenue (HOVA).
HOVA, which previously served as a graduate student residence hall, closed in May 2014 for renovation. “Since HOVA closed for renovation, we have received interest from potential buyers and university leadership believed it was prudent to fully consider all available options,” said Alicia Knight, senior associate vice president for operations.
The university expects to select a broker by the end of the calendar year, with the goal of listing the property in early 2016. The timing, as well as a list price, will be determined after discussions and a recommendation from the selected broker.
