GW Presents the Basilisk of Barnagasso

The Basilisk of Barnagasso is an original comedy using the masks, characters, and techniques of Commedia dell'Arte. Commonly known as “the comedy of craft,” Commedia dell'Arte originated in fifteenth and sixteenth century Italy and is characterized by improvisation, detailed characters, and exaggerated movement. This production offered the audience the chance to be swept away by the creativity and humor of this traditional form of theater.
