Tamara Nahapetyan, a political science student at the George Washington University, had a special opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall for the second time. She played “Garuna” by Komitas Vardapet, sharing the music of one of Armenia’s most celebrated composers. The opportunity followed her first-place win in the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition.
For Nahapetyan, the performance was especially meaningful as it allowed her to share her Armenian heritage on an internationally renowned stage.
