Alexa Alice Joubin, a professor in the English department at George Washington University, received a grant from George Mason University’s Institute for Humane Studies to develop open-source and open-access artificial intelligence tools for liberal arts higher education. The platform models ethical practices in human-AI collaboration and uses inclusive design principles.
Her project, Teaching Anything, is a permanently free, open-access platform that enables faculty to create their own AI applications using open-source large language models. Designed as shared infrastructure for teaching and learning, the project models ethical practices in human–AI collaboration while applying inclusive design principles to broaden access and participation.
