George Washington University senior Olivia Nippe-Jeakins, a physics major, received the Universities Space Research Association (USRA) Distinguished Undergraduate Award.
The awards highlights students who exemplify academic excellence, innovation and leadership. Beyond their scholarly achievements, this year’s honorees demonstrated remarkable resilience and perseverance, overcoming personal challenges to pursue their passion for discovery and contribute to the advancement of STEM disciplines.
Awardees were selected through a rigorous and competitive process. Nippe-Jeakins stood out for her academic accomplishments, problem-solving skills and leadership.This year, USRA received 170 applications from more than 71 universities.
