George Washington University alumnus Chris Gamble, M.A. ’16, has published his second novel, “Where We Are Free.” The book follows the character of Freedom “Dom” Hall, who driven by a family tragedy, is a new therapist eager to serve his community and fulfill a pact with his best friend, Kendra.
His work at New Horizons, a local clinic, seems ideal until he discovers its partnership with a tech company using virtual reality-based therapy. Promising innovation soon gives way to unsettling events that suggest a deeper mystery. As buried secrets and shifting loyalties emerge, Dom faces a choice between staying true to himself or losing what matters most.
