Members of the George Washington University community gathered last night at University Yard for the annual bonfire, a tradition that this year kicks off a historic weekend as the GW men's basketball team prepares to face off against the Georgetown Hoyas for the first time in 45 years. The game tips off at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Charles E. Smith Center on the Foggy Bottom campus.
Sponsored by University Events and the Department of Athletics, the only university bonfire in D.C. featured GW's star athletes, free treats, games and prize giveaways.
