Members of the George Washington University's Class of 2025 came together on Saturday for the Center for Interfaith and Spiritual Life's Interfaith Baccalaureate, a celebration of the diverse religious, secular and spiritual traditions represented throughout the GW community. Graduates' guests, President Ellen M. Granberg, Provost Christopher Alan Bracey and Vice Provost and Dean of Students Colette Coleman joined the ceremony and reception, which was held in the University Student Center's Continental Ballroom.
The program, which picked up a university tradition that was last celebrated in 2019, featured instrumental and vocal performances, dance, sacred text and spoken reflections from the graduating class, as well as prayers and blessings for the graduates. The meaningful ceremony provided the outgoing class an opportunity to reflect on their time at GW through their various traditions and connect with fellow graduates ahead of the following day's Commencement on the National Mall.
