Students from the George Washington University Center for International Business Education and Research (GW-CIBER) earned top honors at an international case competition focused on ethics, sustainability and global market strategy. Competing at the International Business Ethics and Sustainability Case Competition (IBESCC) hosted by Loyola Marymount University, two GW teams presented innovative solutions to real-world business challenges.
The undergraduate team took first place in their division for a 25-minute case presentation titled “Nike Next,” which proposed a sustainable collegiate jersey line, the use of Digital Product Passports, and a campaign promoting responsible consumer behavior. They also earned runner-up in the 90-second pitch category. GW’s graduate team placed first at IBESCC for their circular solution to coffee ground waste.
