Savanna Vidal, a medical student and pre-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Dermatology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, placed 4th out of 1,700 participants in the American Academy of Dermatology’s (AAD) Poster Exhibit Award competition.
The AAD is a national organization committed to advocating high standards in clinical practice, education and research in dermatology while supporting and enhancing patient care. The organization holds an annual conference where dermatologists can learn from experts and make connections with peers and industry leaders. At AAD’s most recent meeting in Orlando, Florida, Vidal received an award for her poster.
Vidal’s winning poster was titled “A Cross-Sectional Evaluation of Dermatologist Management Strategies for Lichen Planus.” Her work was recognized for its scientific importance, methodology and presentation.
