Miguel Lejeune, a professor of decision sciences and of electrical and computer engineering at the GW School of Business and GW Engineering, has been recommended by the Washington Academy of Sciences awards committee to receive the 2024 Excellence in Research Award in Applied Mathematics.
The awards committee cited Lejeune’s “scientific contributions to understand the mathematical structure of optimization problems, design computationally efficient model formulations and scalable algorithms, and provide scientific solutions to societal and industry problems.”
The award will be presented during the Academy's Annual Awards Banquet May 17 at the National Academy of Sciences Building in Washington, D.C.
