The George Washington University swimming and diving program is sending three swimmers to the NCAA championships, the most in a single year in program history. The women have two qualifiers, sophomore Ava Topolewski in the 500-yard freestyle, 1,650-yard freestyle and 200-yard butterfly, as well as junior Ava DeAngelis in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke. Topolewski will hit the water first at the national meet in Athens, Ga., on Thursday, when she swims in the finals of the 500-yard freestyle. DeAngelis will swim her 100-yard breaststroke trial on Friday, while Topolewski will swim trials of the 1,650-yard freestyle and 200-yard butterfly on Saturday. DeAngelis will also compete in the 200-yard breaststroke trials on Saturday. Both swimmers will have a chance to advance to finals in these events.

On the men's side, redshirt senior Djurdje Matic qualified in the 100-yard butterfly. The men's NCAA swimming and diving championships will be held March 27-30 in Indianapolis.
