The George Washington University celebrates its 28th Day of Service and Leadership in remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, kicking off a week of programming honoring the giant of the civil rights movement. This year’s theme, “The Harmony of Hope,” highlights the intricate relationship between community, activism and solidarity, emphasizing the essential truth that hope thrives in community and community thrives through its people.
