Jason Osder, an associate professor of media and public affairs, is one of two recipients of the 2023 Alex Odeh Award from The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. The award recognizes their outstanding leadership and unwavering dedication to public service.
Osder is a renowned filmmaker and directed the award-winning documentary, “Let the Fire Burn.” The film told the story of the 1985 confrontation between the group MOVE and the Philadelphia police that claimed the lives of eleven people. Currently, Osder is working on films supported by PBS and The Sundance Institute.
