More than 450 George Washington University community members gathered at Nationals Park on Tuesday for the annual GW Night at the Nationals. Attendees received a cap emblazoned with logos of GW and the Washington Nationals. At a pre-game reception, they networked with fellow alumni and members of Nationals leadership, including General Manager and President of Baseball Operations Mike Rizzo and Executive Director of Communications Elizabeth Alexander.
GW Director of Athletics and Recreation Tanya Vogel, B.S. '96, M.S. '99, M.B.A. '06, men's basketball coach Jamion Christian, and women's basketball coach Jennifer Rizzotti also spoke at the reception. As for the game, the Nationals rallied in the ninth inning to defeat the visiting New York Mets 11-10.
