Ann McCorvey, the George Washington University’s deputy executive vice president and treasurer, has been named vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer of Davidson College in North Carolina, the school announced. She begins her role Feb. 1.

During the past five years, Ms. McCorvey has overseen GW’s financial and physical resources as well as managed the university’s information systems and human resources divisions.

“I will always be grateful to GW for providing me the opportunity to gain a varied set of functional experiences that prepared me for this leadership role at Davidson,” Ms. McCorvey said. “It was the faculty, staff, alumni and students that I engaged with on a daily basis who inspired me to continue a career in higher education.”

Mark Diaz, GW executive vice president and chief financial officer, said that Ms. McCorvey “has played a significant role in our organization and will be missed.”

“I hope you will join me in thanking Ann for her leadership and many contributions to the university and in wishing her well in her future endeavors,” he said.
