The George Washington University is welcoming the newest Revolutionaries to campus for New Student Orientation (NSO) sessions throughout the summer as they prepare to start their GW journey this August.

Led by the Division for Student Affairs, NSO provides the resources and learning opportunities students need for a strong start to their college career. Students hear from leaders in their specific schools and participate in sessions covering “GW 101,” student support, Title IX, intercultural dialogue skills and much more. Community building starts at NSO with fun activities like Late Night at the Rec, group excursions to the monuments and personal connections made with current students including a team of orientation leaders who help guide students through the NSO experience.

Family members and supporters of new students are welcomed to the GW community with New Family Orientation, offering helpful guidance as they support their students along the college journey.

This year, NSO returned to a summer model offering sessions beginning in June and providing students earlier opportunities to connect with their peers, learn about the many academic, well-being and social resources available to them, and solidify their Revolutionary spirit.
