After months of discussion and analysis, the Innovation Task Force will present its top ranked innovation ideas to the GW community next week at two “showcases of ideas.”

The university-wide forums, scheduled for April 23 on the Foggy Bottom Campus and April 25 on the Virginia Science and Technology Campus, will feature brief overviews of the leading proposals, followed by breakout sessions focusing on individual initiatives.

After the community meetings, the top proposals will be presented to President Steven Knapp and his council of senior administrators for final selection, followed by implementation planning in the next fiscal year.

"The Innovation Task Force continues to be an exciting opportunity to discover operating efficiencies and new revenue sources that can be reinvested in the academic and student experience,” said Robert S. Snyder, executive director of university initiatives in the Division of Student Affairs and member of the ITF Exploration Committee. “We encourage all members of the GW community—staff, faculty and students alike—to participate in the upcoming showcases to learn about the latest ITF ideas and provide critical feedback that will shape the future of GW."

Hank R. Molinengo, associate dean for administrative affairs at the Law School and member of the ITF Exploration Committee, said the showcases provide “an opportunity for this university to harvest the ideas of a diverse and talented staff and faculty.”

“Please come and give us your thoughts on our latest ideas and be ready to share an idea of your own that will make GW more effective and efficient,” he added.
