University Human Resources will host a series of briefings in late November and early December to provide updates and details on GW’s new job classification and career path structure, expected to begin in early 2016.

The new job structure, aimed at improving GW’s ability to attract, retain and develop staff employees, will replace the existing 24-level pay grade system and will add uniformity to job titles and definitions for positions with similar responsibilities. It also will make paths for career advancement easier for staff to identify.

The briefings, which begin Friday on the Foggy Bottom Campus, are an opportunity for employees to learn firsthand about the new structure. Vice President for Human Resources Sabrina Ellis and Associate Vice President for Talent Management John Kosky will present the project and field questions at the briefings. University Human Resources also has created an FAQ page on the project website.
