Annamaria Lusardi, the Denit Trust Chair of Economics and Accountancy at the George Washington University School of Business, was identified as one of the most frequently cited researchers in the fields of economics and business.
Dr. Lusardi was named to the 2017 “Highly Cited Researchers List” by Clarivate Analytics, an organization that provides research insights that enable researchers to accelerate discovery. The list identifies the most frequently cited researchers whose work has “supported, influenced, inspired and challenged” other researchers around the world, according to the Clarivate Analytics website.
Dr. Lusardi said she was thrilled to be named to the list of the top 1 percent of researchers in economics and business.
“This is a great indication of the growing interest in financial literacy and I’m happy that my research is making an impact,” she said. “I teach a course on personal finance at GWSB and some of my research is incorporated in that course. I hope students will become interested in this new topic.”
