Additional George Washington University students began moving into Foggy Bottom campus residences on Saturday and Sunday for the spring semester.

The 1,000 students will move in over two weekends, and join the 500 students currently living in residence halls. GW's health and safety teams have prepared to integrate these new members of the on-campus cohort into robust public health protocols, including weekly testing.

“We are beyond excited to welcome back more students to campus this month, in a safe manner of course,” said M.L. “Cissy” Petty, vice president for student affairs and dean of students. “I was overwhelmed with emotion this weekend as I watched the joy in the eyes for those returning to a familiar home away from home and witnessed the extra bounce in the steps of our first-year students setting foot on campus to begin the collegiate careers.”
