Majeda El-Banna, the vice dean of the George Washington University School of Nursing, received the 2023 Nursing Excellence Alumni Award from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing. The award acknowledges El-Banna as an outstanding leader, teacher and scholar.
El-Banna serves on several professional organization committees, including the National League of Nursing, American Nurses Association, Eastern Nursing Research Society, Washington Regional Nursing Research Consortium and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
