Allison Robbert, a sophomore studying photojournalism, was awarded "Student Best in Show" at the Women Photojournalists of Washington's (WPOW) 17th Annual Photography and Multimedia Exhibition.

 Robert’s ​​winning entry captured a moment that President Joe Biden paused to think following a question from the press regarding his son, Hunter Biden, at the White House on Nov. 9, 2023. The WPOW is a nonprofit dedicated to educating the public about the role of women in visual journalism and fostering their professional success. There is an exhibit featuring the standout photography taken by WPOW members in 2023 that will be on display until early spring in the outdoor space between Lost Origins Gallery and Ellē Restaurant in D.C.
