GW Ph.D. Student Completes Prestigious ACLS Fellowship

Khadijah Akeem-Cox, a Ph.D. student in the Department of American Studies in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, was named one of the fellows of the inaugural American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) Graduate Internships on the Spiritual Infrastructure of the Future program.

This national fellowship, supported by the Templeton Religion Trust, places 10 Ph.D. students with organizations working on the changing American religious landscape. Akeem-Cox recently completed a nine-week internship with CAIR Minnesota, working on a project called “Mapping and Strengthening Muslim Spiritual Infrastructure in Minnesota.”
