GW Law Professor Receives Fulbright Specialist Scholar Award

Susan R. Jones, a professor of law and director of the GW Law Small Business and Community Economic Development Clinic, was announced as a recipient of a Fulbright Specialist Scholar Program award.

The Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP), a flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, provides support for scholars and other professionals with significant experience and expertise in their field with the opportunity to engage in research projects focused on critical global issues at host institutions abroad.

She begins her project in October 2023.

Jones will complete her project at the Liverpool John Moores University in Liverpool, United Kingdom. During her time in Liverpool, she will present to law school and business school students and faculty on U.S. community economic development impacts achieved and present to professors and researchers in the Law School and Centre for the Study of Law in Theory and Practice on a variety of topics.  In addition, after her visit, she will collaborate with UK clinical faculty to co-author a law review article on comparative clinical pedagogy.
