Members of the George Washington University community have a moment of silence during Friday's candlelight vigil at University Yard. The vigil was hosted by the Philippine Cultural Society as a way to honor and pray for those devastated by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. The student organization has raised more than $1,000 in the past two weeks, which will be donated to Catholic Relief Services to provide much-needed supplies to typhoon victims.
