GW School of Nursing alumna Maggie Ford published her first children’s book titled, “Just Mama and Me.” The book offers a fun and light-hearted introduction to children on how families can be started through various ways including adoption or in vitro fertilization.
Ford’s book aims to reflect the increasing diversity of how families are made today and explores the journey of having a baby as a single parent by choice. The book can be used to teach children about different family dynamics. The main message of the book is love is all that is needed to make a family.
