George Washington University alumna Leah Harsfield, B.A.’22, has been appointed to the board of directors at the Boston Children’s Chorus (BCC). This nonprofit organization leverages the power of music to connect Boston's diverse communities, cultivate empathy and inspire social inquiry.
As a new board member, Harsfield will play a crucial role in emphasizing BCC’s 2024-2025 season theme, “People, Get Ready.” The theme provides a platform for BCC singers to reflect on the significance of civic engagement and the importance of collective action in the pursuit of social justice
Harsfield is the director of asset management and leasing and a principal at National Development, a real estate investment, development, construction and asset management firm.
She has extensive expertise in life science, office, industrial and retail sectors. Since joining National Development in 2013 and being named principal in 2021, she has directed real estate leasing strategies for new acquisitions, developments and key existing assets.
