GW Administrative Offices Will Be Closed on Wednesday, March 16

March 15, 2016

Administrative offices at GW’s Foggy Bottom, Mount Vernon, Virginia Science and Technology campuses, Biostatistics Center, Alexandria and Arlington graduate education centers, and other locations throughout the Washington metropolitan area will be closed on Wednesday, March 16 because of the closure of the Metrorail system. We are taking this action because of our employees heavy reliance on Metro to get to work.

Many GW classes were already cancelled because of Spring Break. Classes at the Law School are cancelled. Classes in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences will take place as scheduled.

Gelman Library will be open during its normal business hours. Updates and changes to university services, activities and events will be posted at CampusAdvisories.gwu.edu.

We anticipate normal operations will resume Thursday.

Employees classified as designated on-site, please check in with your supervisor for the current staffing rotation. Other employees are expected to telework if possible. Please contact your supervisor with any questions.
